Soy de Letonia aka ESN Tandem learning.

A fog is covering Ljubljana already for the 3rd day,
even though it may be beautiful, now it also gets frustrating.

what is the best way on spending a late Tuesday evening? this week i decided to join ESN Ljubljana organized event named Tandem language learning. have to admit, in my erasmus Barcelona times, even though i did wanted to join at least one ESN event, somehow there were so many things going on that i did not made to join any. Here in Ljubljana this is my second ESN event for erasmus, and seems to be quite cool.

Yes, i did not expect anything much from tonight,
nothing more than a bit of socializing and getting to know other erasmus, plus maybe having a chance to practice. how did the night go? well, i arrived too early, although i was there perfect timing by what i was said to be, but yes for the next times and already from previous Spanish time experiences i should remember never to come on time, otherwise its just waste of time. with an half an hour delay of the time, but even though perfectly on time, we were divided in groups by the preferences of languages we made before. and as its true, then here in LJ are many spanish people and it turn out to be almost half of all tables spanglish aka spanish / english, which was cool from my side as i did came there to practice my "awesome" spanish knowledge.

Nevertheless, i evaluate and appreciate a lot the idea and opportunity, somehow Tandems were groups of 4 or 5 people and the communications were not that much anymore efficient if you really did want to learn something. and other thing that the division with many different levels of pre-knowledge in the same group left some of others not being able to follow or then others getting bored by once more hearing some basic stuff. and i do hope that next time instead of english chatting we will have more spanish chatting ;)

All in all great people, great idea and most of my expectations were fulfilled. And sorry, missing pictures again, but did not take my camera and as far as i remember no pictures will be coming, well thats for the next time.

The discovery of the day - Hot white wine, most terrible and "jah" invention of alcoholic drinks after red vine/ cola drinks. If you have an option, always pick the traditional red vine, way much better.
