-10 but happy day.

when thinking to come to Ljubljana and Slovenia. For me, Latvian it means coming to southern country. So for my a little bit of blonde mind it also meant coming to more warmer country. however well....this may seem to be warmer, but weather definitely proves its not. Sometimes i feel i never left Riga...as feels the same.

however today, well, waking up and going to work, seeing -10C outside...COLD...leaving the work, just before noticing that news of Riga states its going to be around -30C this night...well, indeed a warmer country Slovenia. However still cold.

Yes, all in all, with all the nice weather and not that nice in between, i can say, that its almost the same, with just a slight change. Feels like i am always at home and never left Latvia. That what i sometimes think, when i get too homesick.

 Aside the weather, today had an awesome italian dinner made by two amazing italian guys. Was superdelicious and super fun evening. Thank you. A nice end of first month of 2012.

amazing, a weekend is here. I advice to play this while reading my post, somehow got addicted these days.

as i needed, i got it...rest, sleep and being super lazy, this is my weekend and im proud of it.

I still like to think that things happen for reason or as they happen, so yesterday i was suppose to go out for a "thesis done" celebration party for one of my friends, however i ended up in another place having other kind of party, more like having drinks and chit chat...was great relaxation after long week, and exactly what i needed.

And today in Vila Neza had my first friend over for dinner, superhappy. Turn out that i still know how to make food and my improvisation skills are amazingly good working. with a great teamwork of preparations dinner came out delicious. Saturday eve turn out to be great come together with my old flatmate.

and now back on being lazy...all in all i have weekend and no work.

very short

i am really looking forward to meet weekend...not that much because of parties or something, just feel the need of proper sleep one day. as now i spend most of my time at work, and if im home, im still doing work...i like my work a lot, and happy to be working with challenge:future, but some short rest in weekend, i am so looking forward.

and one funny...maybe not that much funny thing happen today...since some long time, i think in english...and today my computer made a silly error and i do not have anymore latvian keyboard, it just got supercrazy mixing every possible letters on my keyboard...and yes, writing something now in latvian is impossible for me...hope it gets fine till time i will start doing my thesis again. ehhh...

Vila Neža - Rožna Dolina, my new home.

as i could never imagine that my first week silly wish to live in Rožna Dolina area of Ljubljana, almost bullet-pointing correctly my current location, would come true, as the same i could never expect Ljubljana being such a small city, everyone knowing everybody... so yes, thats why I do have to tell my story of Vila-Neža.

my way to Vila-Neža of course started on the day i made decision to move out of previous accommodation.  I remember some of people around me telling that i am crazy, as finding a new place just for two months its almost impossible - well, almost impossible turn out to be easy for me. i don`t remember no day that i was stressing of that soon i won`t have place to live, even on the morning when i moved out of my old place, i still had no actual place to move in, i was not stressing...maybe just a little worried, as sleeping on street not seems to be a best to get. however the same day i moved out of old flat, in the evening i already moved in my current  house - Vila-Neža. 

sunday at bohinj and bled

 another random travel... this time went to see the biggest lake in Slovenia and returned to Bled to eat the tasty cream cake and see the castle.

thanks to two awesome italian guys day before arranged to join them for a trip to the bohinj, as till today had not been there. so sunday was early wake up, well, a bit overslept, but managed to be almost on time for the meeting.

as from ljubljana everything is close, then it took us less than an hour and we already were at Bled...well, as Bohinj was our first destination, then we went directly there, not missing time to meet and see the biggest lake in Slovenia. Wow...it is a big one. it took us around 1.5h just to walk maybe one third of the round of the lake. and yes, definitively its an alpine lake, as the weather outside was less than zero and we could meet some snow. Advice for myself - better check where are you going, otherwise the inadequate clothing can be an problem. as there are no bad weather conditions, just the way you dress.

so yes...as you can see some parts of the lake, then Bohinj is true beauty, we were superlucky with the sun shining and no wind...and the one of the parts of the lake was true paradise, calm, peaceful, surrounded by mountains...complete chill and inspirations. liked it.

happenings of past week...changes happen.

its been time since my last footsteps in my blog...i`ve been thinking to write, i have collected quite some stories that happen this week...however just now have the time of finally opening my blog for a new entry...

to say in three words - nice changes happened.

but well, ill start from the beginning.

the new year have arrived with a lot of work, been staying late in office, doing many things, this week been mostly engage as "travel agent" searching for the tickets and exploring for the best offers. and yes, this search of tickets made me want to travel somewhere too...and yes, now i am expert in finding offers, airports from all over world, to Slovenia, so if you need an advice...you know...ask me.

feels like spring - weekend in January. aha.

what started good continued the same...good things happen for a reason. i still believe on that.

so yes, due to fact that i am moving out already the upcoming week, i decided to have my colleagues over for a dinner to finally show my lovely, however the superproblem apartment and have some team time. and it turn a more than just fun saturday evening. as i am skillful, then im not afraid to make also some food, however i don`t follow no recipes, i like to improvise always, and also all proportions goes with my sense, as i believe that if you combine in a dish all great things, then the result cannot turn to be bad...and it did not...went fine and good and great..as all the feedback was nice and they both enjoyed it. so I am happy. and the best parties turn out to be somehow the ones you don`t plan or have no expectations or plans where to go or what to do...so this was the case, and dinner turn to chat and some drinks and also other flatmates got into chatting and it was a lot of fun till early morning.

#friday 13th - burek, fun and that`s not all.

its been a time, and few days, however friday 13th was a recent happening. it turn out to be an amazing day for me. definitely one lucky day it was. not only because some people in world celebrated the New Years (as they have a bit different calendar) but more because it started as usually, but turn out to be full with things happening.

it all started as usual working day, however instead of being usual, our monthly meeting turn out to last for almost all day...a looooooong meeting. Well, its all reasonable, knowing that the big event is almost here, and still we have to manage to do so much, to have the magic happening and event come true.

flashback about my blog

just before friday 13th, and as some countries also the actual day of new years, wanted to look back on the start.

when i had an idea to invest my time and thoughts in blog piece, i never realized that it may turn out to be such an interesting and exciting part of my times in Slovenia. if I started with an idea to just open for public and share  the true experience on being in ERASMUS internship in heart of Europe, then it turn out to be more like reading about my thoughts and ideas and life, less about the work or ERASMUS particularly.

since first time in high school i had to take the statistics classes, i never found myself a fan of it.

everything is possible, nothing is impossible.

if I would say that i have been super busy these days, its almost right. however i also been a bit lazy and also just have not been online. there is an awesome life out of computer too. so been indeed a busy person these days.

nevertheless today i realized or approved once again, if you want something just make it happen. Short time ago I complained about the apartment situation...well. Today with a small search and not putting many efforts I have found a new place to move in, even before i planned. However it seems that i won`t be able to take it as the owner want me to move in sooner than i am able to move out from this one. And the room was gorgeous, a bit further from center, however closer to work. but well...somehow since these owners issues, i have lost a trust for the others...so if i decide too fast now, i may end up the same again. well, but that i will tell you as soon as i will be moving out and moving in somewhere, to see how it went. all in all just remember its all possible.

one thing from all my life I have learnt. if you don`t like something you either stop complaining  and go with it or change the things you do not like to.

finish what is started

today being sick and at home, was time not only lay down and do nothing, but most importantly to have time with myself to think on what i have become. and somehow realized, that till now, i`m kind of giving up person. 

@bed days.

last weeks of 2011 and greeting 2012 went too crazy, so now my body decided that it needs holidays for recovery. Even-though today i still went to work. I love my work a lot and always its amazing there in C:F office, but tomorrow ill stay home, and seems also the weekend will pass @bed.

nothing to do I am out now for few days. having a rest.

Greetings from Budapest. I am almost reaching back Ljubljana, just tomorrow 9 more hours in "lovely" train and I will be back in heart of Europe.

Still cannot believe it, but yeah...2012 it is. TatraJam and party turn out to be greater and better than was expecting. Happy.

Was not planning to stay in Budapest, but knowing awesome people here made me stay for a night and enjoy the city.
