Ljubljana like Ezītis Miglā & Prince/Princess

If you were wondering where have I disappeared, then know that i am still here, nothing by this weekend have changed much. Weekend have passed with no big changes, besides its indeed getting more and more colder, and we can see more fog around, or to be precise nothing much more than fog in the morning and afternoons.

Today work was passing with no unusual surprises, although I made a bet today and looking forward to win it in couple of days. Hopefully with some secret talent and luck it will happen. hate loosing, so have to win.

After a work, as it was set some longer time ago, I went to reception organized by Latvian Embassy, opening of photo exhibition / celebrating 18th of November, as I like to call - Birthday of Latvia. I already told it, but have to say once again, being from a small country sometimes is a nice feeling.
Me being still student and having a chance to join event witch is mainly for Ambassadors to be represented, chat and share, meet their friends and socialize, where the average age is over forty, its an opportunity that does not comes for the ones coming from a huge countries, as they are bigger meaning contact networks are wider and they do not even consider students for their events. We ERASMUS students had some fun and it was nice to have another great time on socializing with other Latvians and get to know even more, that are living in Ljubljana. have to admit that here in Ljubljana i`ve meet like ten times more latvians already than in my seven months in Barcelona.

So how was the reception itself? Wow...the story behind exhibition is not for other nations to understand much, but for me the happenings in 1990s, eventhough i was not part of it, still feels somehow special, and leaves the great feeling on how much Latvians were capable to do only 20 years ago.

Besides exhibition we had some lovely Latvian Champagne, yes French would not consider as champagne. I somehow feel the Latvian routes inside, and don`t know why, but even just somebody saying its Latvian makes the taste most of times already better. Like a placebo. And besides the great drinks and food the people itself in reception were amazing. Most of them open and interesting to talk with. Although I did not feel talking much with the ones i did not know, most of the Ambassadors, i still feel great about the chance being there.

As the rumors says even a prince and princess were there...who knows maybe i even shake the hands.

I have been thinking it before and i still believe that with open mind and with no background check you are more free and relaxed to get to know others. when knowing the titles or the background mostly it makes you worried or just makes your under stupid unneeded stress. Just think about it.
