Sunday

my very first TEDx event.

C:F Office @backstage after TEDxYouthDay@Ljubljana.
as you may heard then Ljubljana on weekends is boring and almost empty. however, if there are right people, the time and place you can find yourself in such a great events and places, that you will never feel Ljubljana is boring.

working in a youth organization such as Challenge:Future, its one of the best places to find out about what going on and what happening around Slovenia, especially if you are not local and do not speak local language.

this weekend was noted as TEDxYouthDay celebration by organizing more than 40 different events all over world. TEDxLjubljana was one of the participants, that also took part in this initiative. have to say, that here its very prestigious and well noted, rated TED movement with couple of years experience and motivation.

To be able to attend this TEDx you first had to compete to catch the tickets as the tickets for the event were sold out in less than 10 min from the event announcing online. Crazy, isnt it? well on the day others got the tickets, i still had no idea, that i will be attending event, more over i really was not much interested in the event. Even though I have heard and seen some TED speeches online, to see some part of TED by attending TEDx never much been my aim.

as one of my colleagues was giving a speech, then all C:F office was there to support him. So - I was there too, with no pre - tickets madness, neither knowing what to expect. but well, today it happen - the legendary day - the DAY that I attended the whole TEDx event.

how i liked it? have to say, i was impressed of well structured and very well prepared quality of the event itself. Felt proud to be there, it was indeed very well planned event. Thanks to some misunderstanding or maybe luck, C:F office got the spots in very second row, in very middle, we were seated that we could almost touch the stage.

in any other case I believe i would appreciate the first rows more, as this whole event, with some small C:F exception, happened in Slovene language. And yes,  i still do not speak neither much understand their language. but once you are seated in very front, you just cannot look bored or either sleep. So nothing else, than to pretend like a smart girl. And so i did. the time just flow away and the hour and half passed with no notice, so good it was.

all in all TED and TEDx raised me interest, and also willingness to check out if something like that is in Latvia. and if ever you have a chance to go and see it, just use your chance and try it out. you may like it.

Congratulations, you have reached the end of this post. I share with you Secrets to success :)
