S. goes to see the Sporting football game.

coming a bit delayed, but here is the story of me going to see the Sporting football match this monday @ the green stadium in Lisboa. yes, yes, its Football, and yes, i am surprised myself, as all in all football is far away from my sports of interest and i tend to think that the one and half hours could be spent way much more useful, watching the ice hockey for example.
however miracles happen or more like unexpected happenings, and that`s what really happened this monday. By morning this monday i could not imagine finding myself in fan zone of the Sporting match among couple of hundreds of the crazy team fans and actually watching the match. Thanks to the recently made friends, the big fans of the green team aka Sporting, i ended up at the game.

my viewpoint of Sporting match.
The game itself, well it ended 0 - 1 and not in favor of the Sporting, although i am not really into football, even i could tell that the team did not show really one of the best performances, as may it be due to reason that they did not judge the competitors strong enough, and if in first period they were a bit clumsy then the second they kind of gathered their forces, however using the same strategy of attack was boring even for me.  it may be that maybe just today there was no luck with the Sporting, as they way much more times went to the goal of the other team (I have to admit, the name of other team have slipped my mind) but no goals there.

And even though football is not my sport, i got a great learning experience in getting to know the Portuguese culture of fans and the watching of game.

Some of the fun comparisons with the games in Latvia. I have to admit i never seen a football game in fan zone of the latvian games, however as i remember we get our tickets and we have our seats, and as it is used then we seat up at our spots. This game, well, i still dunno where was my spot, as we arrived in stadium just after the game started and as already everyone were standing on the chairs to better see...well i had no choice to do the same... standing on the plastic chairs was a great challenge. and seeing the guys also jumping, that was already adrenaline there...
On every game i remember being, even though the team you support showed not really good performance and lost the game, you just kept within your friends, went home, forgot and was sure of that next time they will do better. Here, i learnt that the spanish and portuguese swear words are pretty much similar...and they like to share all this with crazily screaming to the team...i believe that later on after couple of hours or days they also leave this behind and still stands as a fans after all, however the showing the attitude thingy was some new experience of learning about the culture of the portugal and sports.

Other than everything with i quite enjoyed the game and the eve.
Sometimes being spontaneous and doing things you are not really interested turns out to be great.
