Dinamo - an ice hockey team for Latvians, a youth NGO in Portugal.

So far i`ve mentioned previously that the reason on my current location is the challenge i accepted, joining the EVS program and becoming part of European voluntary work service. As all projects has place or at least host, then as well this is not much of difference. So basically there is always an sending organization and most importantly the hosting one, that gives your daily chores and works and becomes your new home for your period of stay...
So this all ends up for me as working in the local NGO named Dimano, that is aimed to work for and with youngsters to improve their life and their opportunities in the local Sintra region of Portugal.
So for me its been almost two weeks around here, and even though i was sure i knew on what they actually does, as made it sure today as well, the big picture is there but the small details somehow missing...so i will keep on trying to figure out on what exactly Dinamo does and what are the great outcomes to be...nevertheless as my part while being volunteer is to participate in the daily life duties, projects, activities, meetings...somehow like an real employee, but with less responsibilities and shorter working hours...all in all a great experience and mixture of work, fun and adventures in and outside of Dinamo team.

I`ll try to come back for some certain examples or share of the projects as soon as i will get myself more into understanding myself for the details of the great big picture, which so far i`ve been enjoying very much.
Other than that, just before leaving for the project, while telling friends that i am going to work  for Dinamo and in Portugal, i managed to make a fun confusions in their heads, as ice hockey and portugal just somehow does not goes together...as all this comes of the very famous ice hockey team of Riga named as well Dinamo...while google searching just a name "dinamo" you will know of what i am actually taking about. Anyhow, nope, i am instead thousand miles away other side of Europe in a very sunny place and with an amazing organization for youth - Dinamo.
