Beach, sun & trying to catch the Cascais Festival.

@Somewhere walking by the coast from Cascais
when having time for yourself, it just passes...pfff...and its gone. So that what happen during the weekend while aside sleeping there happen sleeping in beach, sightseeing, coffeeing... as saturday after waking up with the "lovely" mosquito bite next to my eye and managing to look more or less as i usually use to look, i found myself not staying home and going to take a rest in beach. As maybe the murphy was there on saturday, then at first the weather seemed not that encouraging to even think of beach, however i decided to give a try, so i found myself on going to nearest spot aka Sintra beach and if first thinking of Praia Grande i ended up at Praia das Marcas (sorry for not using the superb signs for the c and a letters, just don`t have them on my latvian keyboard). And if maybe not with a good start of day, all in all the beach time turned to be just perfect, as the sun was there, great waves were there and i got my spot at beach just before it got really crowdy. So catching up with summer and tan went very well. oh, right thanks to my current work in Dinamo, i also had "the best" read - getting to understand and know of European Court of Human Rights, which after all was a nice piece to get to know. But thats enough of the saturday...as during the weekend there was also a sunday, the first day of week for portuguse, still holiday.
Festival stage check, any music - maybe next time.
As weather forecast seemed to be promising and as Lonely Planet book tells of the end of August Cascais Mare festival...so we decided to give a try and to sneak in and see what it has to offer. After as it lately happens while being late, we ended up skipping the long lines to buy the train tickets and passed to the next stop where it went way much faster and with just missing one train, we cough the second and were on the way quite fast...if Lisboa was sunny and hot, then by the way more clouds appeared and a fog was there, so most of the pretty views on the way we had to leave for the next time as not really nice sights were possible. A bit afraid of the beach day failure due to weather, we did not give up and reached our destination...were things just a sudden changed and sun appeared from the clouds as we just arrived in the beach and laid down. In the end weather stayed with us all day long, and even if the pictures shows the clouds, then asides those, the pure sun was there and made our day just as we wanted. So everything`s possible as it turns out.
Small streets, just the way i like the most. Pure beauty.
About the Cascais Festival...well defiantly something was there, however us as tourists being there and not really familiar with the agendas, we saw nothing much more of it as empty stage, as we did not want to stay during the eve to check how great are the bands playing...but other than that...well maybe there were more shops and street cafes than usual, but as i don`t really know the usual, then nothing that special of this Sea Festival was not really there or we did not find the right spots for the places where something was happening also during the daytime...So the next time we will do better about this or maybe the Festival team will share more info in english to let the lazy tourists to know of their right ways.
That`s about it today. Hope you enjoyed your weekend as much as i did mine.
