Saturday

up we go, Amarante it is.

who can find me gets a cookie.
greetings from the north of Portugal, the beauty piece of Amarante. i have to tell, its as amazing as the fairy tales tells. after crazy last night, of experiencing the unpleasant crazy neighbors around our Lisboa house and managing the fourth night fight with mosquitoes, all in all not again having much of the sleep after-all all four of us, managed to catch the bus for Amarante this morning. Not mentioning that two of us were super lucky as they got into bus the very last minute.

I very much enjoy travels with bus, as mainly thats the only alternative asides the planes if you want to go abroad from Latvia usually, so i am so used to it. However as its southern countries, then here people like to travel by trains, and as they are way faster mostly and also super cool inside.
However our todays bus was pretty cool as well, the Rodonorte knows how to serve the trip, however i was missing some extras i am used to if the trip lasts longer than three hours, like for example the WC inside, and then in Baltics lately the nice coffee is there inside and as well you have the wifi usually. so yeah, i am quite spoiled.
And this morning our bus driver also forbidding us to eat inside as he told the bus is new, so we should not eat inside. Which from my perspective is super stupid, as four and half hours on the way and i cant even eat a snack for my breakfast. well, anyways we did not follow his rule and had some snacks :) and all in all trip was really pleasant, with perfect temperature, comfortable chairs, so we could actually have our missed sleep and a half an hour stop in the middle of the way for people to have a coffee.
i´ve been in quite some youth in action projects and also trainings, however this place for event beats all others, its just amazing. I wish we had such a youth house in Latvia, its just perfect.
Last but not least, we have managed to get most of participants for our event on time, unluckily some of them are still stuck on the way thanks to the lovely Lufthansa strikes on some of the airports...hopefully we meet all of them tomorrow. But yeah, till now everything is great and doing logistics for the event of just 30 people from Europe is way much easier than my last experience this spring with Challenge:Future summit and more than 80 people from all over world coming to Slovenia, that was one big challenge completed. Will see what tomorrow brings, now its the bed time.

Ate amanha friends and readers,
S.
