Sunday

S. and O. hosts the Game Night.

there is watermelon & Rum bottle. What do you do?
there is no better way of celebration than to gather your friends and organize a fun night for all of us. As on my arrival here we had the Lazanja workshop, then to celebrate the first month of our EVS and being here, we thought of playing games.
One, two ideas gathered, games collected, invitations sent and party is there.
as some of you may already know then timings for meetings, parties and everything work way much different than timings in Baltic countries. So yeah, we set one time and were already sure that everyone will come late anyways...but well due to friday night out and the busy saturday morning, we did not though of us being late.

I am more like person who likes to prepare in advance and have the clear picture and vision of things that will happen, however lately due to my expat life, i`ve learned to take it more easy and to chill where its needed. So yeah...that what we did the saturday daytime when we had to prepare for the party. when the time for the party came, we were ready to start to prepare....however with everyone arriving late, we were just perfect timing.
And most of all, it turns out that from huge watermelon and bottle of rum comes out very tasty drink. And with designing skills and engineering we even managed to prepare the drink inside of the watermelon. Looked super cool and tasted deliciously.
I also have to note out that within this hot hot southern country to buy ice cubes is challenge...not because its sold out in supermarkets, more because the gas stations are the only places you can buy it. And all this couse usually people freeze the ice at home in advance. One new thing we learned this night. Luckily the gas station was close enough and we did manage to get what we were looking for.
Other than timings and preps, the Game Night turned out to be super great. As not everyone knows the Jungle Speed and while playing and mixing drinks its not only gets more fun but for some of us also more frustrating not really seeing the different cards there and grabbing the totem from the other side as it should be. Jungle speed is still around one of my favorites.
The other great game of the night was Fluxx, the game with just one rule, that there are no rules. And as proved by the night its better to play in smaller groups than with bunch of ten persons. And have to say, i really got addicted, creating your rules turns out to be very fun.
Other than everything, it was superb gathering and thank you all for joining. I had much of the fun, hope you too.

Big Hug.S.
