Bday dinner in Portuguese style.

Lisbon @Night...and all the rest in the story to remember.
I am more and more discovering the Portuguese lifestyles and their traditions. One of the new traditions that  I recently came across my way was their way of birthday celebrations, asides all other activities that they may do, the cool thing that i got to enjoy and experience myself was the having dinner party aka meeting up with friends for dinner and drinks. I joined the friends friends birthday celebration where i manage to be the only foreigner in around fifteen portuguese guys and girls company. So yeah, the perfect way for the perfect experience.

when living in Spain, the rarely who would put any efforts into showing their language knowledge, which most times they did not have, then here in Portugal its other way around, and most of everyone wants to show their skills and their knowledge of english, and most of times they are really good at it too. So yeah, going out with bunch of locals and unfortunately not speaking yet that much of the portuguese to express myself, all in all there is not a problem about it.
I did arrive like half an hour late for the meeting, even though most of people were already there, i was just the perfect timing for having dinner. If at first i managed to question myself, what I am doing here, where i know just one out of all the people, plus they still speak language that i dont understand completely. oh, well, but its me and sometimes doing crazy random things the best adventures are about to come. So yeah, the just in the beginning questioning turned out to a awesome night out in Bairro and in Lisbon.
If before passing the small dining places i though, how they can exist being such a small, then this night the mystery was solved, as the small turns out to be not that small after all, and in the tiny place you can manage to put like three groups times twenty people and all of them has enough of the space. Just amazing.
Other than that after the dinner we changed to bars, as the birthday has to be celebrated well. Have to say, that it turned out to be more walk at first as it happens when there are many people and many options to go in Bairro.
If at first we got into a club with kind of swing dance music there, and i already thought, mmm, a cool place to be, then after some time they were up to chance for another club. And if till now I did not prefer to go much for clubbing, as the music is not up to my taste usually there, then during this night out, i managed to find myself in very cool club in somewhere in Santos in Lisbon...dancing till around 6ish in the morning and not be able to leave, as the great songs just comes one after another...enjoyed a lot. And even the thing that they still smoke inside or use the glass glasses for drinks, that afterwards covers the floor you are dancing on, was not an obstacle, that fun it was.
Happy days with learning new traditions,
Looking for the next ones to come,
S.
