A random street art in Porto, and me taking the photo, i did not know the meaning of the quote, just now it makes sense |
Porto is the city i was lucky to visit last year, after finishing my semester in Barcelona. And if before i stepped out in the city of Porto, i thought that wooow, Barcelona is amazing city and indeed a great place to be, then with the first steps around Porto, i got the thought, woooow, Porto and Portugal is way different than I was expecting and nothing really similar with so far seen Spanish culture and cities, Porto is indeed a completely amazing place to be. i especially adore those very old, little and all in all cute houses all over the city center. pure beauty,
truly amazing, that they still are there and most of them even very old, still taken care of.
I also have to say, that exactly of the times of my Porto visit last year, i cough the idea to return to Portugal for longer while being there, however that happens with many of the cities i visited, nevertheless this time with lots of fun coincidences and circumstances to gather all together it actually turned to be true, and as you all know since almost two months now i live in Lisboa.truly amazing, that they still are there and most of them even very old, still taken care of.
Other than going back into past times, just in the beggining of this week, while coming back from Amarante, I managed to pass by Porto. To you all better understand the distance from Lisboa to Porto, then its like traveling from Riga to Tallinn...yes, yes, in Baltics you travel for three and half hours and you reach the other capital, here you travel for the same amount of time and you are still in the same country. But now, better than words, i let to talk the few beauty pieces of photos I took of the Porto.
